Dr Lim graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 2004 and completed his training in orthopaedic surgery in Singapore in 2014. Dr Lim was subsequently awarded the prestigious Ministry of Health Scholarship for dual advanced fellowship trainings. Dr Lim completed a twelve months clinical fellowship in adult knee replacement surgeries at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Stanford University, California, United States of America. He also underwent further training in knee surgery Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford University Hospital Trust, NHS. There, he gained proficiency in complex sports knee surgeries, half knee replacement, robotic knee replacement, complex hip and knee replacement.
Dr Lim is also very active in the sports fraternity. He served as the Chief Medical Officer of Singapore Rugby Union, Medical Director for the Handball Federation of Singapore and Singapore Floorball Association and team doctor for local rugby teams. He also took time to complete a Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine, Singapore. He has vast knowledge and experience in treating high level athletes with knee injuries.
Dr Lim is a senior consultant in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Mount Elizabth Novena Hospital and Starmed Specialist Centre. He is also accredited in Farrer Park Hospital, Gleneagle Hospital and Mount Alvernia Hospital.
